Okay... I might want to consider rephrasing the title a little, but that's beside the point. I've found out that it has been confirmed that Funimation's home video release of the Wixoss anime later this year will in fact be an English Dub no less. Casting for the dub was confirmed over at the AnimeNext convention a few days ago (at the time this blog post was written) as I will now list in the table below. Oddly though, Piruluk for some reason seems to be absent from the cast list (Mayu, I can excuse as we don't really see her in the first season until Episode 10).
Character | Dub Actor/Actress |
---|---|
Ruko Kominato | Lindsay Seidel |
Yuzuki Kurebayashi | Apphia Yu |
Hitoe Uemura | Tia Ballard |
Akira Aoi | Jamie Marchi |
Iona Urazoe | Anastasia Munoz |
Chiyori | Lara Woodhull |
Tama | Monica Rial |
Hanayo | Caitlin Glass |
Midoriko | Carli Mosier |
Ulith | Bryn Apprill |
Eldora | Mariela Ortiz |
Hatsu Kominato | Juli Erickson |
Kazuki Kurebayashi | Micah Solusod |
Ayumu Kominato | Clifford Chapin |
Miyako Kominato | Rachel Robinson |
Now knowing Funimation, aside from the odd hiccup here and there, particuarly in voice direction, I have faith that the dub should be good enough for a watch or two. Will this mean that the card game itself will be released in English? I highly doubt it, but as the saying goes, only time will tell. Now that I've let this news be present, feel free tell me your thoughts on the matter.
